The Secure Router 8000 Series is a family of enterprise core routers designed for enterprise data center, core and head-end routing environments. They provide the high-performance, resilient IP routing and WAN connectivity required by enterprises for reliable end-to-end transport of their converged network traffic.

• Secure Router 8002
  The Secure Router 8002 is the entry-level member of Nortel's Secure Router 8000 series of modular, high-performance enterprise routing platforms. With two WAN/LAN slots and a suite of advanced features, including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS VPN, BGP-4 and multicast, the Secure Router 8002 is ideal for large regional or small core routing applications.
• Secure Router 8004
  The Secure Router 8004 is a mid-level member of Nortel's Secure Router 8000 series of modular, high-performance enterprise routing platforms. With four WAN/LAN slots and a suite of advanced features, including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS VPN, BGP-4 and multicast, the Secure Router 8004 is ideal for enterprise WAN aggregation and core routing needs.
• Secure Router 8008
  The Secure Router 8008 is a mid-level member of Nortel's Secure Router 8000 series of modular, high-performance enterprise routing platforms. With eight WAN/LAN slots and a suite of advanced features, including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS VPN, BGP-4 and multicast, the Secure Router 8008 is ideal for high-end WAN aggregation and core routing needs.
• Secure Router 8012
  The Secure Router 8012 is the highest-end member of Nortel's Secure Router 8000 series of modular, high-performance enterprise routing platforms. With twelve WAN/LAN slots, redundant network/router processors and advanced routing features, the Secure Router 8012 is ideal for core routing and high-performance data center applications.
