The Nortel Integrated DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is a wireless in-building/campus private network.

It allows making and receiving calls wherever you are within the enterprise building/campus or private network.  Integrated DECT provides mobility throughout the workplace.  It is availbale in two varieties: Traditional DECT where the base stations connect over TDM to cards in the Communication Server and SIP DECT where the DECT Access Points connect to a LAN and interface to the Communication Server using SIP.

Integrated DECT is an integrated product on the Communication Server 1000 and in the Meridian Systems Portfolio.

• Integrated DECT Base Stations (TDM)
  The Integrated DECT Base Station provides the radio link, allowing DECT users to make and receive calls with their portable handsets.
• Integrated DECT Handset Portfolio
  Nortel Integrated DECT Handsets are compact ergonomically designed wireless portable handsets for use in-building on Nortel Communication Server 1000 and Meridian 1 PBX systems.
• Integrated DECT Messenger
  The Integrated DECT Messenger is a powerful application for text messaging from many different sources to different output devices including DECT handsets via DECT Base Stations or SIP DECT Access Points.
• Integrated SIP DECT Access Point
  The Integrated SIP DECT Access Point provides radio links, allowing DECT users to make and receive calls with their portable handsets. The system supports handover and roaming, allowing the user to walk and talk and to be connected to a call wherever they are on site/campus or network.
