The Nortel CDMA Metro Cell BTS enables cost effective network growth with a "pay as you grow" strategy. It supports a diverse range of frequency bands, including AWS, 450, 800 and 1900 MHz. All current CDMA air interfaces, including IS-95, CDMA2000 1X, EVRC-B and 1xEV-DO Rev A can be supported in a single BTS allowing wireless operators to simplify their networks and reduce real estate requirements.
The CDMA Metro Cell BTS provides operators with a seamless evolution path from existing IS-95 networks to CDMA2000 1X, EVRC-B and 1xEV-DO via card upgrades, leveraging the investments in existing networks which is critical to today's wireless operators who are looking to reduce operating expenses and drive up revenue through their current infrastructure.
